TOFAmeets

Even though we spend the whole day surrounded with children, teaching can be a solitary job as we don’t always have opportunities to meet with colleagues. This is why TOFA started the TOFAmeets : each term, a social gathering for French teachers to meet and discuss informally in a nice environment. The TOFAmeets are open to all French teachers, primary, secondary, tertiary, independant, as well as pre service teachers and language assistant. They are a great way to expend your network, share ideas and experiences, or simply unwind after a busy day at school!

Join us for TOFA’s Inaugural Tables Rondes dinners

We are excited to invite TOFA Members to our new Tables Rondes dinners – an opportunity to connect over a French meal, share ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations around key topics in language education. Each dinner will feature a different theme and a special guest speaker with expertise in that area. Participants will meet at a French Restaurant selected by TOFA and are welcome to converse in French if they wish!

Topics will vary throughout the year and include themes such as Graduate teachers, Heads of Departments, and Planning student trips to France. Our first dinner will take place on Thursday, May 22nd, with the theme:

“Career Evolution for Teachers of Languages”

We’re thrilled to welcome Gigi Thiele, Head of Languages at a WA school and owner of Première Classe, as our guest speaker. Places are strictly limited to 8 participants, so be sure to RSVP quickly to tofawa.au@gmail.com if you’d like to attend!
